Neurofeedback

What is Neurofeedback?

Neurofeedback (also known as EEG biofeedback) is a non-invasive technique used to help the brain self-regulate.  I am trained in the Othmer Method which uses a special software system and sensors to measure brain activity.  Your unique brain activity is then reflected back to you on a video display.  Nothing external is being transmitted into the brain.  The sensors simply read and use the information revealed in the EEG biofeedback.

How does it help?

By improving the self-regulation of your brain activity, you can improve how you function cognitively, emotionally, and behaviorally.  For example, anxiety is a common response to stress.  You can have symptoms such as exhaustion, fatigue, and/or feelings of being overwhelmed.  Neurofeedback can help guide your brain to change how it responds to the stress stimuli that disturbs your physical and mental functioning.
